Sayyid Hakim with Tunisian Foreign Minister to discuss best means to intellectually encounter terrorism
Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, met with Tunisian Foreign Minister Mr. Khemaies Jhinaoui who is visiting Baghdad, his eminence received Jhinaoui at his Baghdad office Thursday, 09/03/2017.
\r\nHis eminence and Jhinaoui discussed best means to encounter terrorism from Arabic aspects and the role of Arab unity in crystallizing a unified vision to intellectually encounter terrorism.
\r\nHis eminence affirmed to Tunisian Foreign Minister that terrorism is not only a security challenge although security actions is a part of the solution, yet intellectual confrontation is the most important solution that requires developmental and social plans, noting the importance of the Arab consensus into this confrontation.
\r\nHis eminence emphasized that the Iraqi experience in the face of terrorism is admired by the world in terms of combatting terrorism, protecting innocent people and regaining the people, calling on Arab countries to realize Iraq as a bridge for reconciling rivals in the region and not an arena for conflict of wills in the region.
\r\nHis eminence stated that the national settlement project put forward by the National Iraqi Alliance was generated basing on a thorough reading of the post-Daesh phase, pointing out that the project ensures the rights of all and saves their roles and it is a result of an Iraqi vision that needs the support of brothers, because the stability of Iraq leads to the stability of the region and the Arab countries.
