Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim with the Secretary General of the League of Arab Countries to discuss issues of Amman summit and the fight against terrorism
Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim in his office in Baghdad received Secretary General of the League of Arab Countries Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit Wednesday, 15.03.2017.
\r\nHis Eminence and Abul Gheit discussed the upcoming Arab League meeting that will be conducted in Jordanian capital Amman and the challenges facing Arab consensus and the fight against terrorism intellectually as a priority after the military confrontation.
\r\nIn respect of the Iraqi reality, his eminence explained to Abe Gheit that Iraq regained its people and everyone became aware of the gravity of risks caused by political conflicts, stressing that the settlement project put forward by the National Iraqi Alliance as the biggest political bloc , stems from the deep understanding and conviction to the necessity of a reassuring comprehensive project for all to restore stability of the country and save Iraq from its crises and indicating that Iraq had regained its role in the Arab world.
\r\nFor his part, Abul Gheit praised the settlement project considering it a wise project; Abul Gheit promised to forward the project at the Arab Summit meeting in order to receive support of the Arab countries.
