Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, in his office in Baghdad, received the delegation of Kurdistan Regional Government headed by Mr. Fadhil Mirani on Thursday, 6/4/2017.

His eminence with the delegation discussed the battle against Daesh and maintaining the unit of military forces among the Iraqi army, the popular mobilization forces, the Peshmerga and the tribes to continue the victories in Nineveh, and to achieve security and political stability.

\r\n

In addition, several issues were discussed regarding the relationship between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government and the implementation of article 140 of the Constitution and the referendum issue, as well as touching issues related to administrative, legal and legislative aspects and stressing on intensification of constructive dialogue between Baghdad and Erbil from one side and Kurdish parties in the Kurdistan Regional Government on the other side.

\r\n

National Iraqi Alliance delegation headed by Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim listened to proposals presented by the Kurdish delegation to activate Article 140 of the Constitution to achieve more stability and address the repercussions that resulted from the not applying this article.

\r\n

And during a press conference held after the meeting, the Kurdistan Regional Government delegation expressed its satisfaction with meeting of the delegation of the National Iraqi Alliance headed by Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, stressing that the dialogues were conducted in a frank manner and the atmosphere was positive, indicating that things are moving towards a solution through meetings and forthright dialogue.
