Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim praises the scientific cooperation between the University of Basra and Basra\'s local government
Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, praised the integration of knowledge between the University of Basra and Basra provincial council, noting that Basra is one of the first provinces that have been aware of the importance of benefiting from scientific thinking, proficiencies and research institutions to be used in the practical field experience.
\r\nHis eminence During his visit to the province of Basra heading a delegation of the National Iraqi Alliance, met professors and teachers at the University of Basra, Monday 10/4/2017 called for more attention to universities and work on matching the standards of universities in the region or the world, pointing to the scientific position of the University of Basra, which is an extension of the historic scientific schools that Basra is known of, stressing the importance of electronic governance and to avoid the phenomenon of obsolete hardcopy paperwork procedures.
\r\nSayyid Ammar al-Hakim pointed to the importance of distinguishing between the politicization of universities and the political knowledge that a university student must possess in order to be knowledge-savvy in addition to thier university degree, pointing to the importance of investing the University\'s potential to maximize resources considering the financial crisis experienced by Iraq as a result of terrorism and low oil prices. His eminence stressed the importance of immunizing young people from cultural invasion and technological openness, the university\'s mission is to educate and immunize the community from all extraneous ideas.
