Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, in his office in Baghdad, received the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Baghdad .... Thursday 13/4/2017.

His eminence discussed with the British Ambassador the developments of the security and political situation and the war against terrorism, pointing that all the information indicates that the military resolution is eminent and that it is only a matter of time, but the security threat will remain existing, this threat is not exclusive to Iraq, but it afflicting big countries through terrorist methods and tactics, Calling on the countries of the world to oppose terrorism through sharing of intelligence and stop the movement of terrorism in travelling and funds.

Regarding Iraq’s matters, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim indicated that the National Iraqi Alliance had done its part and put forward the settlement project based on his belief and an early analysis that the post-Daesh phase needs a comprehensive project that guarantee rights of all, reiterating that it is important that political blocs and national powers become aware to the challenges of the phase that need statesmen, pointing that Iraq is a part of all and this reading was present among the National Iraqi Alliance therefore the support and adoption of the national settlement project by the United Nations was welcomed.

Regarding the bilateral relations between Iraq and Britain, his eminence stated, \"Iraq is a new Iraq, open to everyone and seeks to intertwine common interests with all to preserve in a way to preserve its interests and sovereignty,\" pointing out that Iraq is qualified to play roles of bridging communication between disagreed sides in the region, for the stability of the Middle East is stability of the world.
