    Head of the National Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, stated that Iraq is an Arab identity and all ethnical diversity are respected and regarded, indicating that Iraq has begun to regain its condition and achieve victories and accumulate experience and is strong and able to take its active role in being the focal point of balance in the Arab and Islamic world.

    This took place during his eminence leading the National Iraqi Alliance delegation in a visit to Tunisia and meeting with Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui , Friday 21/4/2017.

    His eminence said that Iraq wants to build the citizenship state away from sectarian, ethnical and doctrinal groups, stressing that the sovereignty and political stability of Iraq is a red line not allowed to bypass, pointing out that any support for Iraq must be in accordance with the will of the people and his government. Any interference outside these frameworks is prejudicial to sovereignty and considered not tolerated, stressing on the unity of Iraq, the consolidation of democracy and ridding the defects of establishment, counting the national settlement a project for a state, not for authority and a project of a community, not a project of sectarian, ethnical or doctrinal extensions.

    His eminence felt that terrorism is a result and not a cause and the elimination of terrorism needs to confront the extremist ideology.
