Head of the National Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, in his office in Baghdad received on the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq Mr. Jan Kubis Thursday 4/5/2017.

His eminence with Kubis discussed developments of political and security situation in Iraq and the post-Daesh phase noting the near ending of military page, plus touching upon the national settlement made by the National Iraqi Alliance as a road map to end Iraq\'s security and political crises, and indicated that the national settlement is made on basis of presenting concessions for Iraq, and asking reasonable demands and in accordance with the principle of rights and duties.

His eminence pointed out that the coming phase is the phase of the national lists to come up with a national majority government, stressed that everyone has the opportunity to make a positive change in the Iraqi situation and everyone has the responsibility to send messages of assurance, and urged the United Nations to support Iraq and the international community to shoulder its humanitarian and moral responsibilities towards liberated cities, and the cities of those who sacrificed to liberate these cities.
