    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim with Iraqi Christians to discuss the national settlement and a post-Daesh phase

    Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, with the Christian component discussed the national settlement and the post-Daesh phase and the role of the Iraqi community components in the support of stability of Iraq on security, political and economic levels Wednesday, 10/5/2017.

    His eminence heading a delegation of the National Iraqi Alliance during his visit to the Christians repeated his vision regarding the Christians as a qualitative addition to the Iraqi society that is not measured by their numbers, and any migration of an Iraqi citizen is irreplaceable loss, noting that the national settlement recognized the rights of all, including Christians, Yazidi, Shabak and Mandaeans basing on citizenship to build the Iraqi state.

    His eminence valued the sacrifices made by Christians in fighting Daesh, and hoped that all Christians return to Iraq, and urged them to be more patient because victory over Daesh is closer than ever.
