    National Iraqi Alliance holds the second conference attended by ministers and local governments of Diyala, Muthanna, Diwaniya and Basra

    The National Iraqi Alliance held the second conference under the chairmanship of head of the Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, at his office in Baghdad Monday 15/5/2017.

    The conference was attended by ministers and representatives of Diyala, Muthanna, Diwaniya and Basra provinces, as well as representatives of local governments in aforementioned provinces.

    \r\n

    His eminence pointed out that the second conference is a complementary to the first conference that touched on the provinces of Babylon, Maysan and Dhi Qar, the first conference resolved some administrative and technical issues in these provinces and addressed the need for coordination between local governments and ministries to overcome obstacles and put postponed projects in motion, and emphasized that the Alliance promised to collect local governments’ issues with ministers’ and the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers at the same table in order to respond to peoples’ demands, stressed the importance of similar meetings for the common weal and the importance of searching alternatives, visions and new ideas, especially in times of austerity, plus prioritizing work in the context of which is the most important to do first.

    Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Mr.Mahdi Al-Alaq stressed that the previous meeting resulted in a number of decisions and recommendations, noted that the notes received from the office of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim are followed by the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, the ministers and the Prime Minister.

    Heads of provincial councils and governors hailed and appreciated this step of holding the conference and recommended to conduct more conferences to be held in the future for its potentials in solving unsettled issues between ministries and local governments.
