Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, at his office in Baghdad received the envoy of the US President to the International Coalition against Daesh, Brett McGurk, along with an accompanying delegation, and discussed victories against the terrorist gangs, plus covering the post-Daesh phase Iraq Tuesday 6/6/2017.
\r\nIn the course of the meeting, his eminence stressed on Iraq\'s efforts to strengthen democracy through accelerating legislating of the election law and selecting of a new electoral commission, and reiterated rejecting any delay and violation to the constitutional timing.
\r\nRegarding the national settlement, his eminence stressed the need to proceed as Iraq is getting nearer to complete liberation from Daesh.
\r\nThe US envoy affirmed continued support of Washington to Iraq in its war against the Daesh and its commitment to implement and activate the strategic cooperation agreement, and expressed his pleasure with the victories achieved by the Iraqi forces against Daesh.
