Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim receives the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq
Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, in his office in Baghdad, received the representative of UN Secretary-General Mr. Jan Kubis Wednesday 28/6/2017.
\r\nHis eminence with Kubis discussed the developments of the security and political situation and the post-Daesh period. His eminence pointed out that Iraq is approaching victory and preparations must be made for next phase in confrontation with Daesh, which requires political preparation, accompany the military progress and victories with a political victory, and called on the United Nations to spend more efforts in sponsoring the National Settlement Project.
\r\nHis eminence expressed his rejection to any means to impose and force facts, and stressed that all issues and crises are solvable with if the involved sides give concession to other partners.
