    The General Authority of the National Iraqi Alliance conducts its regular meeting under the chairmanship of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim and attended by Prime Minister Mr. Haider al-Abadi

    The General Authority of the National Iraqi Alliance held its regular meeting under the chairmanship of head of the National Iraqi Alliance Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim and attended by Prime Minister Mr. Haider al-Abadi Saturday 8/7/2017.

    Conferees saluted martyrs and the masses respond to the sufficient Jihad fatwa that protected Iraq. They called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in reconstruction of liberated areas. The victory over Daesh is in the interest and for the security of all, and valued the roles of brotherly and friendly countries and their support of Iraq that is achieving victory.

    Conferees also discussed the latest developments in the political aspects and the priorities of the post-liberation phase, plus discussing the relationship between Baghdad and Erbil, the conference that is planned to be held in the capital, Baghdad, welcoming holding conferences on Iraqi soil, conferees asked to conduct the conference in a more appropriate time considering the status of national accord, and refused the attendance of wanted individuals.

    The conferees reaffirmed launching of the national settlement in conjunction with declaration of victory, stressed that all problems are solvable if the will of finding solution and the culture of waiver are present, and the national settlement should have the mutual guarantees, guarantees and concessions.

    \r\n

    Regarding announcing the final victory, the National Iraqi Alliance warned that Daesh will use terrorist operations targeting civilians, so it is necessary to intensify security and empower families and natives who helped to liberate their cities to manage their areas. The National Iraqi Alliance called for the resettlement displaced people to their cities and reconstruction of liberated cities and cities of liberators and supporters. The National Iraqi Alliance stressed justness to popular mobilization forces to be alike the rest of the security institutions in terms of financial benefits, expressed anticipation to hear the official victory announcement through Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, and showed support for Prime Minister’s steps in this manner. The National Iraqi Alliance called the citizens to rejoicing victory through organizing central events throughout Iraq.

    Regarding the elections, the Alliance stressed performing election on time and set a special condition for Kirkuk in terms of the election law, and pointed to a number of measures and initiatives related to the fight against corruption as focus of efforts after victory.

    \r\n

    The National Alliance stressed on unity of Iraq as a red line not to be crossed, and the adoption of dialogue as a way to solve problems between Baghdad and Erbil in response to the referendum to be held in the Kurdistan region.
