Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim receives deputy representative of the United Nations Secretary-General in Baghdad
Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, in his office in Baghdad, received Deputy Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General György Busztin Wednesday 19/7/2017.
\r\nHis Eminence with Busztin discussed the sought role of the United Nations in supporting Iraq in the post-Daesh phase. His eminence pointed out that Iraq is before an important phase that requires the support of the international community to consolidate Iraq’s democratic experience. and pointed that stability of Iraq is stability for the region and the world, and any disorder in Iraq will not be confined at Iraq’s border, but will reflect on everyone, because of Iraq\'s weight, status, history and geographic location.
\r\nHis eminence stressed that the national settlement is a road map for the post-Daesh phase, the national settlement was made to address a critical need imposed by the nature of challenges, called to espouse dialogue to solve problems and urged the United Nations to have a role in adopting dialogue approach to solve the problems.
