Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim confirms Iraq\'s need for an unbiased national political project
Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, emphasized all Iraqi sides should agree on a single comprehensive national political project for a post-daesh phase that would be contributing to lifting the suffering of Iraqis and achieve their ambitions, noted the importance of political victory that complement the military and security victory .
\r\nThis was during a meeting with British Ambassador to Iraq , Mr. Frank Baker Thursday, July 27, 2017.
\r\nHis eminence with Baker discussed developments of political and security situation in Iraq and the region, and the international effort to support Iraq to complete the liberation of the remainig Iraqi soil controlled by terrorist Daesh gangs. His eminence stressed the importance of continuing to support Iraq to clear Daesh the international threat, and called to start regional and international efforts to face Daesh intellectually. .
\r\nHis eminence called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in supporting Iraq in the humanitarian aspects and alleviating the displacement crisis, stressed the importance of contributions from big countries to support and reconstruct the liberated areas and work on the resettlement of displaced persons to their areas.
\r\nIn regards Iraqi political situation, his eminence indicated that Iraq needs a comprehensive national political project that is non-sectarian save the country from political, security and economic crises.
\r\nAmbassador Baker congratulated Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim for forming the Al-Hikma National Movement, stressed on the continuing Great Britain support to Iraq unity as well as the continuation of international efforts to keep Iraq united and independent.
