Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim receives a German delegation to discuss political situation in Iraq and the region
Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, received in his office in Baghdad the German Foreign Ministry adviser Mr. Eckhard Preveza and the new German ambassador to Iraq Mr. Cyril Nun Wednesday, 9/8/2017.
\r\nHis eminence with Preveza and Nun discussed the political situation in Iraq and the region, his eminence stressed on the necessity of the success of national settlement project and to reassure all other components of Iraq and produce a united vision for all Iraqi society spectrum during the post-Daesh Phase, and emphasized the importance of stabilizing unity and avoiding schemes that lead to division.
\r\nHis eminence reiterated his call to the importance of espousing dialogue as a key factor in resolving issues between Baghdad and Erbil, pointed the need to find balanced relations between Iraq and countries of the region that would fall in the interest of Iraq and other countries.
\r\nRegarding the elections, his eminence stressed the need to make elections on schedule, stressed openness of the Al-Hikma National Movement to all components of the Iraqi people.
\r\nMr. Preveza congratulated Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim for the establishment of the Al-Hikma National Movement, stressed his country\'s support for Iraq unity and expressed his country’s rejection to any projects that lead to division and disunion, and urged resolving issues between the federal government and the Kurdistan region through means of dialogue.
