Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim receives the American ambassador to discuss latest developments in the security and political situation
Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, in his office in Baghdad received US Ambassador to Baghdad, Douglas Silliman Sunday 13/8/2017
\r\nHis eminence with Silliman discussed the latest security and political situation and the war against Daesh and consolidation of Iraqi soil integrity.
\r\nHis eminence stressed during the meeting the need to hold the elections on schedule dates, and the importance of passing election law, pointed out that the parliament members the Al-Hikma bloc seek to pass laws that interact with lives of citizens and contribute to building the country .
\r\nThe US ambassador reiterated his country\'s support for the territorial integrity of Iraq, noted that Washington encourages the continuation of dialogue between Baghdad and Erbil to resolve the un unsettled problems between the two sides and to keep Iraq unified. US ambassador also emphasised his country\'s support for holding the Iraqi elections on time and completing the liberation of the land from Daesh terrorist groups.
\r\nMr. Silliman congratulated Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim for the establishing of Al-Hikma National Movement and indicated that it will be a qualitative addition that contributes to investment of youth energies in Iraq after during the post-Daesh phase.
\r\nThe US ambassador denied reports that the international coalition forces attacked a platoon associated to the Sayyid Al-Shuhada Brigades of the popular mobilization forces .
