Head of the National Iraqi Alliance in Baghdad, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, received representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Baghdad, Mr. Jan Kubis on Thursday 24/8/2017

His eminence with Kubis discussed the developments of the political process in Iraq and the post-victory phase, the political solutions desired from the political blocs to get Iraq out of its current crises, invest the military achievement in achieving political, economic and social victory, indicating the importance of reading year 2017 challenges.

\r\n

His eminence expressed his rejection to postponement of parliamentary elections as it is the most important acts of democratic practice in Iraq, called on the United Nations to confirm making elections on time sustained by United Nation support to Iraq.

\r\n

His eminence expressed his believe to the possibility of resolving the unsettled issues between Baghdad and Erbil via dialogue and through the culture of meeting halfway and concession to Iraq, indicated that the giving concessions to Iraq does not decrease the right of any party but preserve their interests, Iraqi parties interests lies in a unified Iraq and the interest of Iraq lies in gathering everyone for the sake of homeland interest.
