    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim contacts Kurdish leaders and urges to postpone the referendum, engage in a deep dialogue and invest time to redress the matter

    Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, communicated with Kurdish leaders via phone Saturday 16/9/2017, urged them to postpone the referendum planned to be held in the region, and to work on a serious, deep and constructive dialogue and invest time to redress the matter.

    His eminence renewed warning of the negativity of escalation on all sides, indicated that dialogue can solve the problems if the parties have the will to find solutions, pointed the need to preserve the security achievements and to observe the security challenges that continue to afflict Iraq.

    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim reiterated emphasize on unity of Iraq as a fate and an assurance to interests and rights of everyone, the strength of all is in the strength of Iraq, and division of Iraq will have repercussions across the region.
