Head of the National Iraq Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, in his office in Baghdad received The representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Mr. Jan Kubis Thursday 21/9/2017.

His eminence with Kubis discussed latest developments of the referendum planned to be held on the twenty-fifth of September 2017, stressed the importance of dialogue between Baghdad and Erbil under the constitutional framework, and that the crises can be solved if everyone comes to dialogue with the will of finding solution, not with the will of crisis, stressed the need to take notice of national interest and the notes of everyone as all are obliged to duties and rights. The dialogue features that would solve the crisis should be serious, deep and comprehensive to all issues and follows the Constitution.

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim reiterated the importance of unity of Iraqis to complete the project of confronting terrorism and defeating terrorism on military and security levels and in terms of bastions and ideology, pointed the risk of side problems that may be exploited by terrorism to threaten Iraq and the region.

\r\n

Mr. Kubis indicated that the international community has become more clear in defending the unity of Iraq, rejected the referendum and called for a serious, effective and comprehensive dialogue under the constitutional framework to solve the problems.
