SAYYID AMMAR AL-HAKIM RECEIVED A “THANK YOU” TELEGRAM FROM FRENCH PRESIDENT
Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), received a Thank You telegram from the President of the Republic of France, Francois Hollande, in response to the congratulatory letter sent by His Eminence to President Hollande on the occasion of his being elected President of the Republic of France, expressing in it the determination of President Holland to strengthen the mutual relations between Paris and Baghdad, stressing France’s commitment to stand beside Iraq if it asks for it.

Thank you for the congratulatory letter which you sent on the occasion of my being elected President of the Republic of France. I would also like to express our determination to strengthen the mutual relations between both our countries, stressing the commitment of France to stand beside Iraq.
From this onset, I hope that you, Mr. President, accept my respect and highest regards.
