    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim congratulates Archbishop Raphael I on being elected archbishop of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and the World

    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), sent on Saturday, February 2, 2013 a congratulatory telegram to His Eminence Archbishop Marlos Raphael I Sako on the occasion of his being elected as the archbishop of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and the world. Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim expressed his pleasure on the occasion, wishing him success in performing his work missions, expressing his hope that his election will contribute to strengthening the national unity and that the Iraqi people will increase in solidarity and love. Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim also expressed his support for the efforts and endeavors which Archbishop Sako undertakes to curtail the immigration of Christians from Iraq so it may keep embracing the multi-colored bouquet of roses.
