Sayyid  Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, said he wishes for a greater constructive cooperation in the next stage between Iraq and Turkey in the service of development in both countries and their common interests and in favor of security and stability in the region.
This came in the cable of congratulations sent by Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim to Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday, August 11, 2014 for his election as President of Turkey.

We extend warm congratulations and sincere wishes for your election as President of the brother Republic of Turkey and  for having earned the trust that has reflected the appreciation of the Turkish people for the positive result and the diligent efforts you have been making during the last period as well as their intention to carry on the development process that was started during your term.
On this occasion, we reiterate our hope and intention for a greater constructive cooperation in the next stage between Iraq and Turkey in the service of development in both countries and their common interests and in favor of security and stability in the region, wishing you all the luck in the performance of your functions and for the Turkish people more progress, prosperity and decent living.
