Head of the National Iraqi Alliance Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim expressed deep grief and sorrow for the martyrdom of a group of Iranian pilgrims while performing pilgrimage rituals to holy shrines in Samarra.

His eminence sent a letter of condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ayatollah Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei on Wednesday, 09/11/2016, stressing insistence uniting in the face of terrorism and the forces of darkness in Iraq and the region.

With great grief and deep sorrow, we received news of the martyrdom of a group of Iranian pilgrims while performing pilgrimage rituals to holy shrines in Samarra, we extend to Your Eminence and for the people of Iran the deepest condolences and most sincere sympathy, and express our determination and insistence to unit in the face of terrorism and the forces of darkness in Iraq and the region, relying on Our faith in God, our just cause and support the Islamic Republic of Iran, we ask Him to extend your age and grant you His assistance and permanent support for the sustainability of Muslims’ pride and capability, as we ask Him to grant the martyrs mercy and heaven and raise their grades in the highest level of paradise with the prophets and the martyrs and the righteous who are the blessed of all companions, and grant the families patience and solace and the wounded a fast recovery.
