Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim participates with the faithful in performing the Arba’een Ziyara, inspects Hussaini processions in Holy Kerbala
His Holiness Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Iraqi Islamic Supreme Council (IISC), participated with the millions of masses as they headed on foot to Holy Kerbala to commemorate the Arba’een Ziyara of the martyrdom of Imam al-Hussain (as) on Tuesday, January 10, 2012.
His Holiness inspected the Hussaini processions that spread along the Najaf-Kerbala highway in addition to the Hussaini processions in Holy Kerbala, meeting with the throngs of the faithful in order to participate with them the commemorating of this sacred anniversary.
Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim was also honored to visit the shrines of Imam al-Hussain and Imam al-Abbas (peace with them both), pleading to the Almighty (the most Exalted One, the most Great) to bless Iraq and its people with security and peace.
