On Sunday 12th of February 2012, Sayeed Amar al-Hakeem, the head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, stressed that Iraq is the key of all Iraqi people components even away from religion, sect, political orientation or geographical location, emphasizing the importance of launching reassurance messages among all Iraqis by all politicians themselves.
His Eminence expressed - during a meeting with the President and members of the Council of Nineveh province, during his visit to the province on Sunday – his regret for upon the provincial councils failure in getting the powers that achieves the ambitious and aspirations of the people of the provinces, despite of 9 years of the legislation of the federal Iraq decentralized, noting in this context to the reservations made by Dr. Adel Abdul Mahdi, to this law, which he described the law as it’s frozen and not enough.
Al-Hakeem also noted to the suffer of the provincial councils, noting that the province of Nineveh does not received its full complement of the State budget as the Constitution said, there for Nineveh is unable to exchange the allocated amounts because of the routine and obstacles existing in the Iraqi state offices, calling the provincial council members to submit their objection and complaint in order to serve the interest for the people away from their personal interests.
His Eminence called on more cooperation and collaboration at the political level among the various Iraqi national powers in order to solve the problems and defeat the crisis, renewing his call for “Nineveh al-Muta’khiya”list to return to the provincial council and participate with their brothers in the Council and resolve the outstanding issues.
In addition, the members of the province of Nineveh council praised the national vision of al-Hakeem and his role in the convergence the opinions among all parties in the Iraqi political arena, as they are following the meetings of the weekly Cultural Forums, describing it as the space were all Iraqis meets with.
Sayeed Amar al-Hakeem, has answered the questions of the members of the Provincial Council regarding the latest topics in the Iraqi arena, as he stressed that the citizen bloc defends all Iraqis across the country, stressing the importance of national partnership among the Iraqi political powers.
