Al-Hakeem expressed his hope that the National Meeting will bring its positive results to serve the national political process
On Saturday 17th of March 2012, Sayeed Amar al-Hakeem, the head of the ISCI met Ali Baber, the chairman of the Islamic Group in Kurdistan
Al-Hakeem said in his speech after the meeting “we hope that the National Meeting of Iraqi political powers produce the good results for the country and the political process in” adding that the results of the meeting is important to us more of the meeting itself, however the rivalries and disputes does not bring the good and useful results to the country.
For his part, Baber praised the efforts made by al-Hakeem in reducing atmosphere of political tension, as well as the constant quest for solutions and remedies of the parties to the conflict and pacify the political process, including moving to safety
