Al-Hakeem congratulates the Iraqi MP Dhiya al-Asadi on the occasion of his choice as general secretary for al-Ahrar political bloc
On Sunday 30th of October 2011, Sayeed Amar al-Hakeem , head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq sent a congratulation telegram to the Iraqi MP of al-Ahrar political bloc Dhiya al-Asadi on the occasion of his choice as general secretary of the bloc in the Parliament.
Al-Hakeem expressed his wishes regarding the choice to be promote the national cohesion among the political powers, strengthen the legislative and observing role of the Parliament to serve the Iraqi people and his aspirations for a dignified life, His Eminence presented the wished to Mr. Asadi for more success in his mission.
Previously, al-Ahrar bloc, which belongs to the Sadrist movement, was held a session to elect its general secretary at the Iraqi parliament instead of Amer al-Kinani, the former Secretary.

I am pleased to present you my congratulations and blessings on the occasion of your election as the secretary general of al-Ahrar bloc in the Iraqi Parliament, which we hope to be a reason to promote national cohesion among the political powers and strengthen the legislative and oversight role of the Parliament to serve the aspirations of our Iraqi people in free and decent life, I wish you luck and success.
