On Sunday 26th of February 2012, the Vatican Pope Benedict XVI sent an appreciation letter to Sayeed Amar al-Hakeem, the head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq.
The Pope expressed in the letter to al-Hakeem, his appreciation for the great feelings of al-Hakeem in dealing with the Iraqi people, especially participating the latest Christians celebrations during the Christmas in some of churches in Baghdad, as he expressed his appreciation to His Eminence for the letter sent to the Vatican during the Christmas.
Sayeed Amar al-Hakeem who continues participation the Iraqi Christians during their various celebrations, always defines them as the very important component of the Iraqi people
