Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim to meet head of the Al-Fatah Alliance, stresses the importance of forming cross-sectarian alliances
Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, met with head of the Al-Fatah Alliance, Mr. Hadi Al-Amiri and a number of leadership figures, Baghdad Tuesday 30/1/2018.
His eminence stressed the need to consolidate the national unity and forming cross-sectarian alliances, called on the necessity of maintaining peaceful circulation of power.
His eminence discussed the political and security situation in Iraq and the importance of maintaining military, political and societal victories, stressed the need to initiate state-building phase and overcoming the challenge of services and welfare provision to the people.
Both sides stressed the importance of national unity, accountability, work on the priorities of the current phase and focus on forming cross-sectarian and cross-components alliances .
Conferees emphasized on peaceful transfer of power and encourage citizens to participate widely in the elections, considering that elections are the constitutional process that preserves and strengthens democracy.
