Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim meets Saleh al-Mutlaq to discuss the upcoming elections and providing appropriate atmosphere for elections
Head of the National Iraqi Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, met head of the National Dialogue Front, Dr. Saleh al-Mutlaq at the latter’s office Baghdad Tuesday 27/3/2018
His eminence with Mutlaq discussed the latest political situation, the upcoming elections and providing appropriate atmosphere for elections, stressed the importance of competition basing on programs and review achievements during the past period, emphasized the need for resettlement of displaced people to their areas and provide the appropriate atmosphere for electoral practice.
Regarding the national majority, his eminence indicated that it is the solution to end “ the situation where all are involved in the government and not to bear the responsibility”, pointed out that pro-government and pro-opposition is a healthy and required situation for the next phase, his eminence indicated that the government of national unity was necessary for the previous phase, but is no longer able to meet the ambition.
His eminence stressed immunizing internal Iraqi situation from international political developments, indicated the importance of drafting the national project in line with the aspirations of the people.
