Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim: We condemn the use of arms against job seekers, and demand the government to provide services, including electricity
Head of the Al-Hikma National Movement, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, via social media Monday, 9/7/2018 condemned the use of weapons against protesters demanding job opportunities, called on the government and the Ministry of Electricity to provide services to the Iraqi provinces, particularly the southern provinces, and especially the city of Basra.
His eminence pointed to the suffering of citizens due to power outage for long hours in the heat of summer in spite of the huge budgets spent on this vital sector, called on the government and the Ministry of Electricity to shoulder their responsibilities towards citizens, and encouraged the security services to understand the anger of citizens over the deterioration of services and development conditions in the country.
