Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim: “Iraq’s multi-fabric is one of the sources of Iraq’s strength.”
Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim stressed the necessity of a united word and of solidarity among the citizens of the same country, explaining that the fabric of the Iraqi society is one of the sources of the strength which Iraq has. He described Iraq as “a bouquet of multi-colored roses.” This came up when he received, in the morning of Sunday, October 14, 2012, at his Baghdad office, Sheikh Mahdi al-Sumayda`i, Head o the Edict Board of Ahl al-Sunnah and the delegation that accompanied him.
On his side, Sheikh Mahdi al-Sumayda`i lauded the stances of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim and his continuous calls for the unity of the word, the renunciation of sectarianism and brotherhood among the components of the Iraqi people as well as the necessity of holding such get-togethers in order to deepen the unity among the Muslims.
