Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim received at his Baghdad office on Sunday, October 21, 2012 a high level delegation from the leaderships of the Kurdish Alliance headed by Dr. Barham Salih, deputy general secretary of the National Union of Kurdistan (NUK).
Both sides held in-depth talks in the overall political conditions in the country and the relationship between the political forces and the parliamentary blocs, looking for realistic solutions for the political crisis. Both sides also expressed their vision about how to find realistic solutions for the political crisis in the country.

Two delegations, a political delegation headed by Dr. Barham Salih, and a delegation from the government of the Province headed by Imad Ahmed, vice president of Kurdistan Province, arrived at Baghdad to hold talks with the National Alliance and the political forces to resolve the crisis through which the political process is going and to remove the obstacles in the way of developing the relations between the federal government and the government of the Province.
