    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim says: “There can be no sacrificing the plan for building the state for the sake of contradictory desires that are unable to hold an understanding and communication.

    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim has renewed the call for the political majority government which represents the various components of the Iraqi people, describing them as a government harmonious for administering the country’s affairs and responsible for its decisions and plans.
    This came up in the political speech of the Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI) as he led the faithful in the congregational prayers on the occasion of the Blessed Eidul-Adha on Friday, October 26, 2012 in Baghdad.
     

    The Patriotic Axis
    His Eminence stressed that uniting the concept of homeland can unite the concept of the state and how to build its institutions, explaining that the strength of homeland stems from the strength of their peoples, not from the strength of borders alone. He added saying that the secret behind peoples’ strength is their sense of the justice of their governments, stressing that the diversity in the Iraqi nation must be framed with justice so it may be a strong nation in which the rights of all various Iraqi components, sects and creeds.
    His Eminence pointed out to his understanding that partnership is the foundation of success and unity is the foundation of progress, that the government which incorporates everyone is better than one that is confined only to some, stressing that realism is the basis of success in the political work, and that there can be no sacrificing of the plan to build the state for the sake of desires that are contradictory and unable to hold an understanding, communication and joint work among them. He added saying, “We do not change but change our dealing with the reality according to the possible solutions.”
     

    Regional Axis
    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim renewed his welcome and strong support for the initiative of the U.N. and Arab envoy, Lakhdar Librahimi, in stopping the fighting during the Eid days, expressing the hope that the truce between both sides will continue.
    His Eminence called on the Syrian government to pay attention to the confiscated liberty and to the just rights of the Syrian people, emphasizing that the Arabs must seek reconciliation among themselves, and that the Arab leaders must realize that the time of the suppressed opinion, of the single party and of peoples is gone. He stressed that it is not acceptable to turn Syria into a field for different ideological crossroads, emphasizing that Syria will never surrender to extortion, nor will it submit to intimidation. It is not fair that the demands of the fair Syrian people are stolen to become a tool in the hands of extremist ideologies. He stressed once more that the role of the New Iraq is to be a bridge between area countries and does not allow to be a crisscrossing point.
    His Eminence addressed the Saudi newspapers that their miserable message arrived, explaining that the extremist ideology that tries to spark sedition, create crises and accuse others of falsehood was behind such lies which the Ukaz newspaper stated against His Eminence, expressing his deep appreciation of all the free voices in Iraq and the area that have denounced and deplored such accusations.

    His Eminence addressed members of the Movement of the Martyr of the Niche that the challenges are approaching, and readiness for them must be very well, stressing that, “We review but do not retreat; we correct and do not attempt to convince ourselves; we stand and do not justify; we continue the march and do not feel exhausted or hesitated.”
    His Eminence stressed the necessity that the sons of the Movement of the Martyr of the Niche be with their countrymen in all circumstances and phases, emphasizing the necessity that their slogan must be the truth. He explained this by saying, “We must not exaggerate the reality so our hopes may not be exaggerated with it. We must not take the reality lightly so our resolve may not weaken.”
