Stressing that the Ghadir Day is a message for all humanity and is not relevant to a particular sect or religion, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim says, “The program of Ali (Ú) can solve the problems from which humanity is suffering and to take people to the shores

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), has stressed that the message of al-Ghadir is not relevant to a specific sect or religion, nor is it relevant to only the Muslims; rather, it is the message of all humanity, explaining that the Ghadir Day is the day when the Divine vision was perfected for setting up the Divine justice. He pointed out to the talk about the Ghadir Day is divided into three axes: wilaya (mastership), wali (master) and the muwalla `alaihim” (those over whom mastership is established). He stressed that this program can solve the problems from which humanity is suffering and can take people to the shore of safety, adding that accepting Ali (Ú) as the master is not about love and sentiment but a commitment, a following, a rallying and a circling round Ali (Ú) and his program. This came up during the grand ceremony of the auspicious Eid al-Ghadir which was held by organizations of the Movement of the Martyr of the Niche in Baghdad and the rest of governorate simultaneously on Saturday, November 3, 2012. His Eminence explained that Ali needs no lovers who do not obey him but needs those who follow his lead and carry his plan.
The Head of the Islamic Supreme Council emphasized that Islam is not a creed that is monopolized behind the walls of mosques. Rather, it is the religion of a state and of life, and it has an opinion in all their details. His eminence stressed that the vicegerent of Allah who establishes justice and the Divine plan must be appointed by Allah, Glory and Exaltation belong to Him, and he must be infallible. His Eminence proved his point from sacred verses which say that such a vicegerent is appointed by Allah, the Glorified and the Exalted One, explaining that mastership has a pivotal role in man’s life; it is the key to all principles of the creed and is the firming of the features of the Islamic School.
His Eminence pointed out to mastership being the one that safeguards the Islamic theory, that the Messenger of Allah (Õ) conveyed what was sent down to him from his Lord, and that the matter is a Divine one distant from temper and personal matters, stressing that Ali (Ú) was provided with all means of science and knowledge, pointing out that the statement which were made on the Ghadir Day were clear ones which do not accept interpretation and speculation.
Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim emphasized the necessity of seeking solace from Ali (Ú), of emulating him and his way, stressing that knowledge of the program of Ali (Ú) and living in another world is deviating from the right track, regarding the treading on the path of Ali achieves honor, dignity and prosperous living in this life and comfort in the life to come.
It must be pointed out that the celebration witnessed several activities and poems which sung love for Ali (Ú) and the auspicious Ghadir Day, including a poem by Dr. Ahmed al-Alyawi and another by Nihad al-Khaikani in addition to songs by the Islamic Wafa band.
