Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim stresses the necessity of preparing the suitable grounds before implementing the law cancelling the rations card.

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim has stressed the necessity of preparing the right grounds for compensating the citizens for the shortage in the food items as a result of cancelling the rations card, expressing his reservation about the government’s ability to provide a banking network that reaches the villages and other places so the citizen may be able to get the determined sums in place of the rations share easily and conveniently.
This came up in a speech by the Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq before a crowd of male and female Muslim  muballighs (missionaries) in al-Najaf al-Ashraf on Thursday, November 8, 2012.
His Eminence raised questions about the Iraqi government having an economic commercial system or traders able to provide the large quantities of food and getting them to enter the local market, expressing his belief that this matter needs a long time, stressing the necessity for the citizen to get the sufficient amount of money to purchase the food items from the commercial market.
