Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim: “Reliance on Allah grants His servant the ability to make decision, which is one of the most important secrets of success in the leadership system.”

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), has stressed that reliance on Allah leaves on His servant the effect of making decisions and the ability to be decisive, pointing out that this effect is one of the most important secrets of success in the leadership system. He explained that leadership is not recording points but integration, cooperation and assistance on discovering mistakes in order to avoid them. He urged any official to be lenient and at the same time strict, to follow others’ advice, because the principle of advice is not affected if such an advice erred somewhere. This came up during the Hussaini mourning gathering held at the Baghdad office of His Eminence on Monday, November 19, 2012.
His Eminence explained that reliance on Allah made the messenger sent by al-Hussain (Ú), namely Muslim ibn Aqeel, one of the symbols of Kerbala, getting him to enter history from its widest gates because Muslim expressed his loyalty to the trust with which al-Hussain (Ú) entrusted him. His Eminence explained that the sender, i.e. al-Hussain (Ú), and the message, which was represented in completing the argument in an issue which was not only for its time but for all humanity, reveals the value of the messenger, Muslim ibn Aqeel. He cited the value of Muslim ibn Aqeel as described by al-Hussain (Ú) saying the following about him in his letter to the people of Kufa: “I sent you my brother, cousin and the trusted one from among my Ahl al-Bayt (Ú).”
