Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim says, “Syria’s wounds will never be dressed except by its own people.”

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), has expressed his pain at the suffering of the Bahraini people, explaining that the standing situation in Bahrain is rejected from the humanitarian and nationalist standpoint. His Eminence drew attention in his speech, which he delivered on the occasion of the 9th of Muharram of al-Hussain (Ú) in the million-man gathering on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Industry Club’s Stadium in Baghdad, which was transmitted directly by the visible news media from Baghdad with 13 country governorates, that the peoples are the ones that stay, and everything besides them vanishes, expressing hope in the logic of wisdom superseding that of force in the leadership of the Kingdom of Bahrain. His Eminence stressed that peoples suffer, but they do not snap.
On the other hand, the Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq demanded the struggling forces in Syria to listen to the language of reason, explaining that Syria’s wounds will never be dressed except by the Syrians, that the homeland is the basis, that those who stand to help as the Syrian people suffer can only be its citizens.
