    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim says, "The differences in viewpoints in a democratic country are a healthy phenomenon provided they do not turn into differences in visions."

    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), stressed that the differences in viewpoints in a democratic country are a healthy phenomenon provided they do not turn into differences in visions. His Eminence congratulated the sisterly State of Kuwait for the success of the legislative elections in it. This came up during his meeting with the head of the Kuwaiti Journalists Society and a large number of editors-in-chief of prominent Kuwaiti and Gulf magazines and newspapers in the presence of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicates, Muayyad al-Lami, on Wednesday, December 5, 2012.
    His Eminence stressed support for the bilateral and historic relations between both Iraqi countries and peoples, wishing Kuwait more sparkle and prosperity.
    On his part, the Kuwaiti delegation praised the viewpoints and presentations of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim for solving the domestic and regional problems and persistence in communicating with the media establishments in the Gulf countries.
