Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), attended on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in the Basra governorate a mourning gathering for martyred police captain Muntasir Abdul-Razzaq who was martyred in the Mahmoudiyya area few days ago.
His Eminence expressed his condolences to the family of the heroic martyr, stressing that sacrificing one’s life for the sake of the homeland is paramount to any other sacrifice, and that martyrdom is a sublime medal on the chests of the martyrs’ sons and relatives, stressing that the safety of Iraq and the dignity of its citizens deserve everyone to defend it no matter how costly the sacrifices may be.
