Dr. al-Chalabi stresses his support for the initiative of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim in a swift exit from the serious crisis the country is witnessing.
Dr. Ahmed al-Chalabi has stressed his support for the initiative of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim to quickly come up with serious solutions to resolve the dangerous crisis in the country, explaining that Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim is the object of trust of all groups in the Iraqi political scene.
This came up when His Eminence received Dr. Ahmed al-Chalabi, head of the Iraqi National Congress Party, at his Baghdad office on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.
On his part, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), called for dealing seriously to achieve the legitimate demands of the Iraqi citizens by employing dialogue and the constitution, stressing the significance of enhancing understanding and the national unity, rejecting partitioning plans, calling for not involving the army against the demonstrators in the Anbar and other cities of Iraq.
Meanwhile, Dr. al-Chalabi stressed the existence of understanding and consensus of viewpoints about the seriousness of the current crisis and about its being different from the past crises due to the size of the demonstrations and the ceiling of the demands, pointing out that some of these demands are legitimate, while the others violate the laws and the constitution.
