Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), has stressed the need to strengthen the national unity and safeguarding the cohesion of the social fabric in Iraq. This came up when His Eminence welcomed on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at his Baghdad office Sheikh Qais al-Khaz'ali, general secretary of the Asaaib al-Haqq and the delegation accompanying him.
During the meeting, a discussion went on of the developments in the country, especially the current political crisis. The viewpoints have been identical about the necessity of speeding up the solving of the standing problems through dialogue and achieving the legitimate demands of the Iraqi people according to the law and constitution.
On his part, Sheikh al-Khaz'ali lauded the role of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim in healing the conditions, containing the current crisis and working towards finding an atmosphere of harmony and love among all components of the Iraqi people.
