    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim stresses the necessity of the region's states undertaking a positive and effective role in Iraq's stability.

    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim has stressed the importance of strengthening the relations between Iraq and Turkey in various fields, emphasizing the necessity of regional countries undertaking a positive and effective role in Iraq's stability.
     This came up when the head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI) received His Excellency the ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Baghdad, Yunus Demir, at his Baghdad office on Saturday, January 19, 2013.
    On his part, the Turkish ambassador stressed his country's keenness about strengthening its relations with Iraq in all fields in a way that serves the enhancement of security and stability in Iraq and the region, appreciating the role of the religious Marji`iyya (highest religious authority) and its recommendations in the direction of calming the situations down and solving the current crisis.
    The Turkish ambassador also lauded the serious efforts of Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim in containing the problems and crises through his good relations with all sides of the Iraqi political scene.
