    The head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI) meets the head of the council for identifying the regime’s interest in Iran

    Within the framework of his visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), met the head of the council for identifying the interest of the regime in Iraq, namely Hashimi Rafsanjani, in Tehran on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Both sides discussed the political conditions in the region and the current crises through which it is going in addition to the good relations that link both countries. Both sides exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Greatest Prophet (P) and of his grandson, Imam Ja`far al-Sadiq (as). His Eminence Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), had participated in the 26th international conference for the Islamic unity which was held in Tehran during the period from January 27 – 28, 2013 and delivered a speech in the conference in which he discussed the Islamic Awakening and the circumstances through which Syria, Bahrain and Iraq are going.
