    The head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI) meets the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran

    Within the framework of his visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), met the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmedinejad, in Tehran, capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Both sides discussed the political conditions in the region and the current crises through which it is going in addition to the good relations that link both countries. Both sides also exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the birth of the Greatest Prophet (P) and of his grandson, Imam Ja`far al-Sadiq (as). His Eminence Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), had participated in the 26th international conference for the Islamic unity which was held in Tehran during the period from January 27 – 28, 2013 and delivered a speech in the conference in which he dealt with the Islamic awakening and the conditions through which Syria, Bahrain and Iraq are going.
