    During his meeting with al-Maliki, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim calls everyone to unite their efforts to get out of the current political crisis.

    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), has called everyone to unite their efforts and solidify in order to get out of the current political crisis, renewing his call on the Iraqi Slate to reconsider its decision to suspend its membership in the parliament, pointing out that the parliament has a great role in amending the laws that contribute to facilitating the procedures of addressing the demonstrators’ legitimate demands. This came up when His Eminence met H.E. the head of the ministerial counci
    His Eminence pointed out that his meeting with al-Maliki was in-depth in the field of bilateral relations and National Alliance affairs, stressing that he discussed the demonstrators’ legitimate demands and the important measures which have been undertaken as well as the means to speed them up through cooperation with all concerned parties. He stressed the necessity of going to the governorate council elections in a conducive atmosphere that is comfortable for the Iraqi citizen.
    On his part, al-Maliki stressed that his meeting with Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim complemented past meetings with His Eminence, explaining that the visions and the will are identical: the serving of the citizen, pointing out that everyone is in one crucible, and the challenges that face everyone must be encountered.
