    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim stresses the necessity of ending the problems and moving to the phase of national harmony, of seriously working towards building Iraq, serving the homeland and the citizen

    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim has stressed the necessity of seriously working towards treating the current crisis in the country and moving from the problems phase to that of national harmony, positive coexistence, joint thinking and seriously working in one rank to build Iraq, serve the homeland and the citizen.
    This came up when the head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI) received Dr. Ibrahim al-Jafari, head of the National Alliance and of the Reform Movement on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at his Baghdad office.
     His Eminence stressed that the views of both sides are unanimous regarding the necessity of treating the legitimate needs of all citizens in all parts of Iraq, emphasizing the importance of transparency in providing the services and the measures which the government undertakes and in explaining them to the citizens in a clear picture and in numbers in order to assure the citizen that the government’s path is towards solving the problems as soon as possible. He drew attention to the necessity of the political groups and the citizens in general bearing the responsibility of appreciating and thanking the efforts of the government, the parliament and the committees formed for this purpose, further explaining that such thanks and appreciation can provide the conducive  atmospheres for coming steps to resolve the legitimate needs that agree with the constitution and law.
    Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim expressed his thanks to Dr. al-Jafari for the efforts which he is exerting in order to bring viewpoints closer and to administer the National Conference. He also thanked the five-member committee, tribal sheikhs and dignitaries as well as theologians who called on the protesters to practice their constitutional right in their areas without going to Baghdad for fear this may stir some schisms and sensitivities.
    On his part, Dr. al-Jafari expressed his thanks to Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim for the valuable remarks which His Eminence made in order to quickly get out of the current crisis, stressing the continuous effort of the committees in charge of looking into the demonstrators’ demands in order to end the problem as soon as possible, explaining that the current crisis will take its path to resolution and will leave behind more trust and love among all components and spectrums of the Iraqi people.
    Also, during the meeting, there was a discussion of the bilateral relations between the Supreme Council and the Reform Movement.
