Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim stresses the necessity of bypassing some traditions which block the way of youths getting married

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), has stressed the need to bypass some traditions which block the path of marriage which leads to closeness rather than openness between the tribes and members of the Iraqi society, emphasizing the need to expand the social framework by establish marriage alliances with other families and tribes. His Eminence regarded the marriage of the Holy Prophet (P) from different tribes as a reason that invites us to emulate his Sunnah and biography. His Eminence regarded marriage as a strong link and a serious covenant as well as the stressing of a Divine way and not merely a crank or only to satisfy human needs, explaining that marriage, from the Islamic standpoint, is much deeper than that: It expresses the first step towards building the society and completing one’s humanity.
His Eminence stressed the above in his speech during the 12th group wedding celebration for five hundred young men and women which was held by the Establishment of the Martyr of the Niche in al-Najaf al-Ashraf governorate on Thursday, February 14, 2013 for segments from among the relatives of the martyrs and needy but self-restraining families.
His Eminence also stressed the importance of assistance and cooperation between both spouses in the way that creates harmony and works towards achieving success for the family, calling on the spouses to exchange respect, love, appreciation and partnership in the marriage relationship and its family structures in order to reach the partnership in the society and to emphasize raising their sons. He explained that religion is loving goodness and fortifying the self against falling into prohibition.
His Eminence also stressed the necessity for the head of the family to serve his family and children, citing this statement by the Messenger of Allah: “O Ali! One who does not feel too proud to serve his dependents shall enter Paradise without account.”
In another topic, His Eminence expressed his great support for the people of Bahrain who demand a constitutional monarchy, public liberties and the electing of it representatives fully freely. He, at the same time, stressed his support for the rights and demands of the Iraqi people in all parts of the country, in addition to supporting the rights of other nations.
