The expanded shura (consultative committee) for the Movement of the Martyr of the Niche held its regular meeting over which Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), presided at the Baghdad office of His Eminence on Monday, March 11, 2013. His Eminence urged the members of the Movement of the Martyr of the Niche (may his soul be sanctified) to get close to people, to listen to their concerns and problems and try to solve them through all available means.
The meeting discussed the upcoming governorate council elections. His Eminence stressed the necessity of explaining the Alliance's electoral program for the Iraqi voter. His Eminence renewed the emphasis on the election of the governorates' local governments is an election of a service council distantly from politics and their entanglements, calling on the candidates of the Citizen Alliance to communicate with people and explain the plan and the vision which they have regarding the reconstruction of the Iraqi governorates. Also, the expanded consultative committee's meeting of the Movement of the Martyr of the Niche (may Allah sanctify his soul) discussed the current political crisis and the necessity of solving it by all sides sitting at the dialogue table, by adhering to the constitution and via the consensuses that are in harmony with the constitution as the way out of the current crisis.
