During his reception for the U.S. Ambassador to Baghdad, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim stresses the necessity of pacification and dialogue to get out of the current political crisis

Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), has stressed the necessity of accepting the judgment of logic and the language of dialogue rather than that of escalation in order to get out of the current political crisis, stressing the necessity of thanking the committees in charge of addressing the demonstrators' demands for the efforts they have exerted to achieve some of those demands, pointing out to the necessity of focusing on the work of the seven and five member committees and to remove the obstacles that stand in their way, to employ the language of dialogue and to accept the arbitration of the constitution to solve all problems. This came up when His Eminence received the Ambassador of the United States of America to Baghdad, Stephen Beecroft, on Monday, March 18, 2013.
On his part, the U.S. Ambassador lauded the call by Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim on the political groups to sit down at the table of dialogue and to accept the constitution as a way for seeking solutions. He stressed that this call is the best solution for the current crisis. The meeting also discussed the conditions of the region and the relations between both countries and the means to develop them in a way that serves the interests of both Iraqi and American nations.
